Central Bank of India was the first Indian commercial bank which was wholly owned and managed by Indians. The establishment of the Bank was the ultimate realization of the dream of Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala, founder of the Bank. Sir Pherozesha Mehta was the first Chairman of a truly 'Swadeshi Bank'. In fact, such was the extent of pride felt by Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala that he proclaimed Central Bank of India as the 'property of the nation and the country's asset'. He also added that 'Central Bank of India lives on people's faith and regards itself as the people's own bank'.

NANO TECH-SWEDAN

Nano Tech, Sweden Based Engineering Company manages an application which helps the users to manage the process of registering leaks for the purpose of find and repair at later date. Pneumatics, which is a power consuming and expensive utility, is in common use in production plants. The compressed air is transported from a centrally-located air compressor to the users through a system of pipes, tubes, vents and tube fittings. The system is often exposed to leakages that will involve great losses, to be able to control the leakages continuous leak management and repairs are needed. The customer wants to integrate android based mobile application and required to manage leaks, positions, Task, End customer details, object settings.

THE NEW HORIZON SCHOOL

The concept of preparing individuals for a functional life became a reality on the 5th of September 2000 when NHS institution opened its portals in Salmaniya as the New Horizon Kindergarten to cater to 3 ? 6 year age group with 7 students and 4 staff on the roll under the chairmanship of Mrs. Shamsiyya Yadulla Murad. The New Horizon Kindergarten grew in size demanding additional space to accommodate more than 120 children within 10 months. Within the span of another 2 years, the Management was forced to upgrade the institution to a school to train children between 3 & 12 years of age. In September 2003, the Ministry of Education upgraded the Kinder- garten into a Primary School for the 3 ? 12 year age group.

BCM COLLEGE

BCM College was founded by His Excellency Bishop Thomas Tharayil, a pioneer in women's education in the Christian Community of Central Travancore. A priest true to heaven and an educationalist concerned with the progress of the world, Bishop Thomas Tharayil founded this institution in honour of his illustrious predecessor, His Excellency Bishop Alexander Choolaparambil, in 1955, with a student community of 63 girls. Bishop Thomas Tharayil felt that women's education was the key to social progress.
